Fire consumes an off campus hostel at Auchi poly

Just  few days after the Maths Department block of the Faculty of Science, University of Lagos was disfigured  by fire, an off-campus hostel of some students of the Auchi Polytechnic, Edo State, has also been consumed by fire.

The inferno destroyed properties worth millions of naira. Lost to the fire were computer sets, students’ files, electronics and money among other valuables.The students around said that the fire incident is assumed to have resulted from a surge in the public electricity supply by the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN).

“Immediately power was restored, we heard a spark from one of the rooms and before we knew what was happening, the fire had spread round the house" a student said
God please save us from all this fire things ooh......

FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC NEKEDE MATRICULATION

Federal Polytechnic  Nekede  Matriculation for 2011/2012 has been scheduled for 29^TH MARCH 2012

The federal polytechnic Nekede (FEDPONEK) has fixed her matriculation day on 29^th March 2012.

FCE(TECH)AKOKA ACCREDITATION

Sources revealed that the science and technical education department have already been accredited therefore they have started offering degree programs in the aforementioned departments. It was also confirmed that accreditation was also successful for Business and vocational education although business education is now under vocational Education also now offering degree program under the affiliation of Federal University technology Minna.

OAU 2011/2012 MATRIC DAY POSTPONED

The Oba Awon University (OBAFEMI AWOLOWO UNIVERSITY) matriculation date that was earlier planned to take place this Thursday has been shifted to Monday April 2^nd 2012 due to some unknown reasons. Students should still bear in mind that it’s all for their interest and they should expect the best as they look forward to that day…..

FCE(TECH) AKOKA QUICKLY RESUMES SECOND SEMESTER

Like light that travels at a supersonic speed, the federal college of education(tech) Akoka speedily finished their first semester examination finally on Friday 23^rd march 2012  and they immediately resumed second semester academic session on the March 26, 2012….

SUDDEN DEATH OF EIGHT FEMALE STUDENTS IN AAU EKPOMA, EDO STATE

Eight female students in Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma, Edo state on March 24 2012.

Report  had it that it was due to shortage of water in the institution, students  went to fetch water from a well suddenly the well collapsed and eight of them fell into the well and died.

The   school has also been closed down due to the problem at hand….May Jah continue to protect us.

FRESHERS DAY HAPPENING TODAY AT SACOED

The Students representative body formerly known as SUG welcomes their freshers today by organizing the freshers day for them today March 27, 2011. The program is set to start by 12noon. there will be life performances on stage by the schools upcoming artists like Dtwo, Young Veezy and others. There will also be a dance battle between the freshers an the staylites. I have a feeling the show is gonna go down well.......

FEDERAL POLY OKO IN CHAOS

Riot is currently going on in FEDERAL POLY OKO in Anambra state because the OKO masquerade killed an HND final student yesterday March 26th 2012.

Yesterday another student was killed by a bus along the road. The police are there to reduce the chaos but it Looks like the matter is far from calming down with fire being set everywhere around  the school…..

I just pray the whole thing calms down
